Anthony Logistics Ingrown Hair Treatment Solution Review

Ingrown on face

It has been developed for men and borrowed by women for use against ingrown hairs. The fusion of its natural ingredients and some technologically prepared, is responsible for the tremendous results it has had on its reviews[1].

Here are its benefits with regard to its ingredients:

Glycolic acid

This chemical is a known exfoliating agent. It is the smallest α-hydroxy acid which is colorless and hygroscopic. When used on the skin, it aids in the elimination of dead skin cells. It is these dead skin cells that may lead to clogging up of the pores and trap hair underneath the skin.

Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been added to Anthony Logistics for Ingrown hair treatment for these properties. They work well to reduce inflammation and prevent or treat infection.

It is therefore important for the prevention of complication of the ingrown hair bump into an ingrown hair boil or ingrown hair cyst. It also has exfoliating properties. It therefore removes dead skin cells and prevents more ingrown hairs from occurring.

Phytic acid

This chemical works to remove the dead skin cells that are accumulated underneath the bump and also those that clog up the pores.

Willowherb (Epilobium Angustifolium)

This is an extract of the flower, leaf or stem of the plant. It has antimicrobial and anti-pruritic properties on the skin. Hence, the itch that accompanies ingrown hairs is alleviated by this compound in the product.

It owes its properties to its active molecule Oenothein-B which has wide anti-inflammatory activity. It also has anti-tumor activity and scavenges on free radicals hence faster healing of the inflamed bump. One research done in North America and Europe showed that it performs better than 1% hydrocortisone cream in the treatment of inflammation.

Lavender oil (Lavandula angustifolia)

This is an essential oil. It is obtained from the distillation process of a lavender species. The oil comprises phytochemicals that include linalool and linalyl acetate. For the benefit of the lesion that has been formed by the ingrown hair, it acts as a circulatory stimulant on the skin. This helps the skin cells initially deprived of nutrients rejuvenate. Lavender oil is also known to contain astringent properties and anti-oxidant activity. It therefore speeds up the wound healing of the ingrown hair inflammation.

Apart from the above mentioned ingredients, this product also has the following with the purpose of playing a non-pharmaceutical role:, SD Alcohol, Propylene Glycol Hydroxyethylcellulose, Tetrasodium EDTA, Blue 1 (Ci42090), Ammonium Hydroxide Saccharide Isomerate, Yellow 5 (CI 019140 Water Purified). These ingredients are either anti-oxidants, preservatives or excipients that enhance the delivery of the active principal.

To use this product, follow the steps below:

  1. After you are done with shaving, apply a generous amount. Do this too before you retire to bed on a dry but clean skin.
  2. You should apply on areas that you have just shaved sparingly such as the cheeks, jaw and neckline.
  3. Persevere the tingling associated with its application so that you do not scratch your skin and open the ingrown hair bumps.
  4. Use it for the maintenance of ingrown hair free skin every other day. This prevent the recurrence of this condition. Fortunately, it can be used daily.
  5. Make sure that you apply a moisturizer after applying.

What is best suited for?

It is best suited for skin that has clogged up pore due to dead skin. It is equally effective against bacteria that may cause infections. All skin types can benefit from this product. Its soothing effect owing to the lavender oil and the willowherb make it suitable for treatment and alleviation of pruritis or irritation.

Pros and Cons

It is meant for external use only and therefore contact to open wounds may cause excessive irritation. It can cause irritation in addition to that caused by ingrown hairs. It should be discontinued at this stage. The ingredients in the product may be an allergen to your skin. It therefore requires that everyone test with a small patch of your skin such as on the wrist.  It can cause side effects such as eczema, stinging pain and itching, burning sensation and hypersensitivity reaction.

It is however still a very powerful product as it offers a full-fledged package that aims to reduce the pain, inflammation, exfoliate and treat the infection.
